Compress Video

Shrink a video on your device. Choose a compression level and save a smaller MP4 — nothing is uploaded.

Compression runs in this browser with WebAssembly. The engine loads on first use; larger files need more time and memory.

How to compress a video

  1. Choose a file. Drop or select MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV or AVI (max 10 MB).
  2. Pick a level. Smaller saves more space; Higher quality keeps more detail.
  3. Compress & save. Wait for local processing, then download the new MP4.

Privacy and limits

Your file never leaves the device. Only the compression engine is downloaded on first use. Hard limit is 10 MB. Desktop browsers handle compression more reliably than phones.

Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded?

No. Compression runs locally in your browser.

Will quality drop?

Yes—compression trades some quality for a smaller file. Use Higher quality if size is less important.

What formats are supported?

MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI. Output is always MP4 (H.264 + AAC when encoding succeeds).
