Convert Video to MP4

Choose a MOV, WebM, MKV or AVI file. Compatible streams can be saved as MP4 on your device without an upload.

Your video stays in this browser. The converter engine loads on first use; large files can take time and memory.

How to convert a video

  1. Choose a file. Select or drop a MOV, WebM, MKV or AVI video. MP4 files can be remuxed too. Limit is 10 MB.
  2. Wait for local processing. The first run loads the conversion engine. Compatible streams are copied into MP4; incompatible codecs show an error.
  3. Save the result. Download the new MP4 after processing. Play it before deleting the original.

AVI.aviOlder camera or Windows software

What changes in the output?

MP4 is a container. This tool copies compatible video and audio streams into an MP4 file without re-encoding, preserving quality. Many WebM files use VP8/VP9 + Opus and cannot be remuxed here—those will show an error. Keep the original file.

Privacy and limits

Processing runs with WebAssembly inside your browser. The file is not uploaded to our servers. The engine must be fetched on first use, so you need a connection for that step. Large files need more memory and CPU; keep the original until you confirm the result.

Frequently asked questions

Does my video get uploaded?

No. Processing runs in your browser. Only the conversion engine is downloaded on first use.

Which files can I convert?

MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI or MP4. Only codecs compatible with MP4 can be copied without re-encoding.

Will the quality change?

A successful conversion copies streams without re-encoding, so quality stays the same.

What is the file size limit?

Hard limit is 10 MB, checked in the browser before conversion starts.

Does it work on a phone?

Smaller files may work on a recent phone. Desktop browsers are more reliable for larger files.
