Home / Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026. This Policy explains how v2mp4 collects, uses, and shares information when you use vid2mp4.co.
This Policy applies to the website and tools operated under the v2mp4 brand at https://vid2mp4.co/, including link helpers, convert/compress tools, accounts, and related pages.
Account information. If you create an account, we may collect your email address, authentication provider (for example Google), and basic account metadata such as sign-in time.
Usage and technical data. We may collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referrer, approximate region, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Media links you submit. When you paste a public media URL, we process that URL to fetch available metadata and download options. We do not require you to create an account for basic use.
Local files. Convert and Compress tools are designed to process files in your browser when possible. In those flows, your file typically stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. If a future feature requires server-side processing, we will disclose that in the product UI.
Payments. If you buy a paid plan, payment processors collect billing details. We receive confirmation of payment status, plan type, and related transaction identifiers—not full card numbers.
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (such as the EEA/UK), we rely on one or more of: performing a contract with you, legitimate interests in operating a secure service, consent where required, and legal compliance.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
Upstream media platforms receive network requests when you ask us to parse a public link; those platforms process data under their own policies.
We may use cookies or local storage for session continuity, preferences, and basic analytics/security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if storage is disabled.
We keep account and operational logs only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize them, unless a longer period is required by law or dispute resolution. Transient request processing data is not kept as a personal media library.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and protect your devices.
We may process information on servers located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to / restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact hello@vid2mp4.co. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or by email when appropriate.
